  We paid $102 last minute off-peak. I think usually about $135. Excellent value. Room was large. Very friendly host.
  It backs onto Fraser lane which was next to canyon river walk. Well worth the 1hr scenic trek.

  Stayed for 5 nights. The complex is dated but this did not distract from our stay. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean, tidy, and spacious with high racked ceilings. Our air-conditioning was turned on before we arrived. Hot water was instantaneous. Comfortable beds with electric blankets. I suggest a short walk at to canyon and swinging bridge at the rear of the property.

  Start with location. Given during my stay no taxis were operating in bright, it’s a 1.4km walk to town. That in my opinion is too far to go for shopping / dinner / pub.
  
  On arrival we were greeted by friendly helpful staff that was able to offer us helpful tips on bright.
  The room was a spa room, it was quiet, large room, clean, bed was ok and the spa hit the spot after cycling 100kms to bright.
  
  Wi-Fi was poor in our room, given bright for an unknown reason currently has poor mobile reception, bad wifi wasn’t good
  
  The hotel has a large grasses area which was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the fine weather, pool was great and the bbq was well liked by guests.
  
  Apart from the distance to town it’s a great place.
  Given the parking issues in town, and the active police presence in the area, distance to everything in my opinion is important.
  
  But worth the stay here for sure

  I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the room change that occurred during my stay at High Country Motor Inn Bright. I had booked a 2 bedroom Family Suite for one night on the 24th of April 2023, and upon arrival, I was informed that I had been given a single family room instead. When I walked up to the reception to enquire about the change, I was shocked to hear that they were already expecting this complaint, indicating that this is not an isolated issue.
  
  The lady at the reception informed me that instead of charging me the X amount for the 2 bed room suite that I had booked, they charged me the Y amount, assuming that I would be happy with the change. However, this assumption is incorrect, as I had booked the 2 bedroom Family Suite in advance and expected to stay in that room.
  
  I was disappointed that the hotel staff did not discuss the change with me prior to my arrival and just made changes without informing me.
  As a customer, I expect better hospitality and communication from the hotel staff.
  
  I understand that issues can arise, but it is important to inform customers prior to making changes to their bookings. The lack of transparency in this matter has left me dissatisfied with the hotel's services and the quality of hospitality.
  
  I advise future guests to be cautious while booking rooms at High Country Motor Inn Bright and ensure that they confirm their room reservations before arrival.

  I've been here before.
  It's dated and needs modernisation throughout the room and the kids' playground and also the pool.
